Located in Edgewater, Colvin House is home to Creative Coworking’s second location. The Chicago landmark was built in 1909, designed by architect George Maher and later renovated in the 1920s to include a plethora of ornate, architectural details. After falling into severe disrepair, owner and founder of Creative Coworking, Angela Valavanis, purchased the lakefront mansion and restored it to its former glory. While maintaining as much of the home’s original integrity as possible, Valavanis updated the space into a fully operational workplace and event venue. Today, Colvin House is an inspiring place to work for small businesses or remote workers from a variety of industries, as well as an intimate, vintage event space for weddings, corporate gatherings, or other celebrations – right across from the beach!
